## Overview
Mondal Labs Licence Verification Centre (MLLVC) provides real-time, tamper-proof verification of software agreements and commercial project licences. It enables clients, auditors, and third parties to authenticate licences using cryptographic SHA-256 PDF signatures, unique 9-character Document IDs (`ML-XXXXXX`), and QR code scans.

## Verification Methods

- **Document ID Search (`/search`)**:
  Enter a 9-character licence identifier (format: `ML-` followed by 6 alphanumeric characters, e.g., `ML-4TI97K`). Returns full public licence metadata, validity dates, support coverage, and attached authentic PDFs.
  
- **Cryptographic Hash Verification (`/hash-verify`)**:
  Calculates the SHA-256 digital fingerprint of any licence PDF client-side inside the browser. The file content is never uploaded across the network, guaranteeing total confidentiality. Only the hash is matched against our secure registry.

- **Direct Document URL (`/verify/{id}`)**:
  Direct permanent link to a document's verification status card, active support status, and authentic credential details.

## Technical Details & Endpoints

- **Public Verification Endpoint**: `GET /api/verify/{id}`
  - Returns: `{ requiresEmail: boolean, entry?: LicenseEntry, pdfs?: LicensePdf[], customFields?: CustomField[] }`
- **Hash Verification Endpoint**: `POST /api/verify/hash`
  - Body: `{ hash: string }` (64-character lowercase hexadecimal SHA-256 string)
  - Returns matching public licence entry and metadata.

## Security & Verification Standards
- **Integrity**: Any change to a PDF (even a single character) invalidates its SHA-256 hash.
- **Privacy Gating**: Confidential licences can enforce email challenges (`/api/verify/{id}/email`) to prevent unauthorized scraping.
- **Authority**: All credentials are cryptographically stamped and registered by Mondal Labs.
